At last, I can put the tree up and get out out my trusty old Harry Connick Christmas cds. The last three months have been a whirlwind with starting college and gigs.  My course is quite time consuming but really enjoyable. Last week we had to perform our arrangements of Christmas carols in Wales Millennium Centre. I arranged Silent Night for harp, conga drums, bass, saxophone and choir with some sizzling trumpets. It was such a buzz. The department have been great and so welcoming of an alien instrument. The term finished with a performance to a packed out foyer in The Royal Welsh College…it was a great atmosphere.

Christmas this year will be the traditional afternoon tea at Celtic Manor, playing all day Christmas day and then a real treat of Boxing day at Le Manoir. With a few weddings and functions scattered in-between, it is sure to be a great few weeks…..Happy Christmas to everyone and thank you for a great 2011!
