On March 1st I was invited to represent Wales in London. A group of us Welshies travelled to John Lewis, Oxford Street and spent the day spreading the word of St David’s Day. The Welsh Assembly ‘True Taste’,organised by the lovely David Edwards promoted Welsh food products and I played for the lucky people sampling them. read more…

Valentine’s Day was interesting this year, spending the evening with 20 male singers..in the form of Only Men Aloud! in the Coal Exchange in Cardiff Bay for a corporate event. The venue is beautiful and the evning was a nice change from the usual romantic restaurant setting.

Today I had the pleasure of talking to post graduate music students in Cardiff University….from gliss’ to pedal slides…they had plenty of ideas for making their compositions unique and modern…here’s to the finished pieces!

For the 11th year in a row, I was at Celtic Manor over Xmas, playing for afternoon Xmas Eve and most of Xmas day. The atmosphere was wonderful with the Salvation Army Band and a local Male Voice Choir. It is so beautiful there…and so busy with over 1000 for lunch!

I was thrilled to be invited to play for the Covent Garden Dance Company at their Secret Christmas Gala dinner with five of The Royal Ballets biggest stars at The Assembly Rooms in Bath on the 18th of December. December was very interesting this year! The perfect white xmas caused chaos, especially when moving a harp around. Jo and I had a tour in Sheffield for the first week of December, playing for the elderly with alzheimers. Each concert was truly enjoyable and quite often bought a tear to my eye.
