It’s my favourite time of the year. My favourite music and a cwtchy (welsh for warm and welcoming..but indescribable really) warmth wherever you go. It was a busy week (9-13th May) with the expansion of Lost Chord in South Wales. On Friday 25th March, Lewis Ballards Accountants held a fantastic fundraising evening for the second year running in the Marriott Hotel Cardiff. Jo and I had a tour in Sheffield for the first week of December, playing for the elderly with alzheimers. Each concert was truly enjoyable and quite often bought a tear to my eye. One home in […]

A diverse week from elderly concerts to the North Star

Written on Monday, July 12th, 2010 at 1:46 pm

The week  began with a 2 day tour for Lost Chord..a charity which takes live music to elderly homes. I was working with Celtic Manor’s Richard Harris. Usually known for singing at the piano, we lost it on the way resulting in a piano-less Richard accompanied by harp. The concerts were great and included singalongs, […]

On March 27th I was pleased to be part of a fundraiser for Velindre Hospital in Cardiff. The hospital is well known for helping cancer sufferers and the evening, at the Marriott Hotel, hosted by Lewis Ballard, raised over £11000.

Written on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 at 4:17 pm

Lost Chord is an amazing charity which takes live music to homes in the Yorkshire area. It has now moved down to Cardiff and London but we still pop up to Sheffield for tours. This time I was with Jo Thomas and we performed 12 concerts over 4 days to the most amazing people. We […]

National Police Memorial Day

Written on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 at 4:12 pm

It was an honour to be invited to play on the 26/9/09 for the National Police Memorial Day in the City Hall, Cardiff. Hundreds of people gathered to pay their respects to officers who had died in the line of duty. A very moving occasion.
